About the event

Get ready for two sets of the most  caffeinated rock, country, and soul-twinged gospel music you can get on  a Sunday morning. Don’t miss special guest Steeltown Sweetboy dig deep into his milk crates for extra good vibes, too! Dan Getkin and the Twelve Six is an alt-country outfit from the Steel City. Named for a type of  curveball that can buckle a man at the knees, the band careens from  full-tilt rock anthems to delicate, narrative-driven balladry and back  around. Dan's hook-laden, thoughtful songs belie influences ranging from  Kathleen Edwards and Wilco to Motown-era R’n’B and classic country.  In  2022, the band released ‘A Rose Among the Thorns’.  The new collection  builds on gospel and alt-country roots and features the Mosaic Community  Church gospel choir.  The songs are reworked classics, polished over a  decade inside churches, plus an additional original song co-written with  Jon Bindley.
