About Shattered:
Shattered is an original hard rock band from Pittsburgh, PA. Their music consists of a modern hard rock sound with heavy hitting riffs and melodic choruses. Shattered is a 5-piece consisting of Front man – Chris Taylor, Evan Schlegel on guitar, Erik Rhodes on guitar and vocals, Mike May on bass, and Kevin Dick on percussion. Shattered has been a prominent band of the rock scene in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas for over a decade, sharing the stage with bands like Sevendust, Ten Years, Hurt, Cold, Lacuna Coil, Bloodywood, Taproot, Stabbing Westward, Adelitas Way, Trapt, Tantric, Earshot, Gemini Syndrome, Smile Empty Soul, Sick Puppies, and many others.
Shattered has two full length albums. 2012’s Rise of Hypocrisy, features the fan favorite songs Ridicule and Contagious, and spans the genre of hard rock from the hard-hitting Hypocrite to the melodic ballad The Tie that Binds. Shattered’s 2017 Album Blackout Sessions boasts even more range while still holding true to the bands signature hard rock sound. From the acoustic melody of Silhouette to the eerily dark tones of Paralyzed, to the hard rock punch of Martyr. Fan favorites include Catalyst, What you Reap, and Reckoning.
The Band’s 3rd album release, an Extended Play entitled “Darker Days” was released in March 2024. The album’s title track boasts big vocal chants and harmonies that will leave you hooked. The album includes five brand new songs, including the guitar heavy riffs and melodic chorus of “Ghost Town”, an acoustic ballad – “Coldest December”, the hard-hitting “Deceit”, the melodic but driving “World Comes Down”, and title track – “Darker Days”, along with two singles previously recorded in 2019, that were re-remixed and re-mastered (The Rising Tide and Am I Godless).
